History
KASA High School is one of Cyprus’s longest-standing private secondary schools, with roots that reach back to 1961, when it was founded in Famagusta by Mr. Christos Saveriades. From the beginning, the school’s philosophy was shaped by the belief that education should be accessible, purposeful, and transformative—a principle still reflected today in KASA High School’s ethos and motto.
A defining chapter in KASA High School’s story is tied to modern Cypriot history. Following the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus, the founder and his family experienced displacement—an experience that strongly influenced the school’s identity and mission in the decades that followed. Over time, KASA High School continued its operation and evolved, later establishing its presence in Nicosia, where it remains active today.
KASA High School is registered/accredited by the Cyprus Ministry of Education and offers a structured secondary programme that leads to a school leaving certificate recognized for further study in Cyprus and abroad. The school’s educational pathway and broader institutional growth also connect to the development of Casa College, established in 1997 as a “natural continuation” of the educational legacy that began with KASA High School.
In more recent years, KASA High School has also been recognised for its social mission and international outlook, including initiatives supporting the education and integration of refugees and asylum seekers, reflecting its own historical understanding of displacement. This blend of heritage, resilience, and outward-looking education has helped KASA High School remain relevant across generations—honouring its origins while continuously adapting to the needs of today’s learners in Cyprus and beyond.
